Blackjack Table Layout
Below we've provided a simple blackjack table layout image for your review.
The typical blackjack table is in the shape of a semi-circle, and may seat up to seven players. Closest to the dealer, you will see the chip rack as well as the dealer's spot (where the dealer places his/her cards). Then, in a semi-circle immediately opposite the dealer's spot, the players have their individual spots (in the shape of circles) where they can place their bets. The shoe or shuffle deck where the cards are stored before being dealt is typically located immediately to the left of the dealer (i.e. to the right of the player in the corner spot immediately to the left of the dealer).
You will notice as well, that the general rules of the table (Blackjack pays 3 to 2 etc.) are written on the table itself, along with details of the allowed betting limits or levels. In an actual/land casino, you will see slots for 'discards' and cash. When you give the dealer cash in exchange for your chips, he/she will then drop this cash into the cash slot. Dead cards (for example if a player busts, his/her cards are dead) are placed in the 'Discards' spot on the table.
